JED BARDEN | ASSOCIATE
Jed Barden joins Walker Heye & Meehan after several years practicing civil litigation and environmental law in Seattle. Jed continues to assist clients in these areas and in business law, real estate, land use, estate planning, and family law.
Jed’s background includes clerkships for judges at both the trial and appellate level. He previously externed for Judge Ronald Gould of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, clerked for Judge Gregory Foote of the Lane County Circuit Court for the State of Oregon, and completed a second clerkship with Chief Justice Gerry Alexender of the Washington State Supreme Court. Based on this experience, Jed is available to assist clients with appellate work at all levels.
At the University of Oregon, Jed was the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Environmental Law and Litigation and a Co-Director of Land Air Water, the student environmental law society. He also won the school’s Environmental Law Moot Court Competition and received several scholarships, including the prestigious Federal Circuit Bar Association Bullinger Scholarship. Jed uses his environmental law expertise to assist clients with matters involving hazardous waste, air and water quality, environmental due diligence, and regulatory compliance.
Jed received his liberal arts training at Gonzaga University, where he was recognized as a Dean’s Scholar and inducted into the Lambda Pi Eta communication arts honor society. He also rowed on Gonzaga’s nationally ranked crew team.
Prior to entering law school, Jed managed a portfolio of commercial high-rise and industrial real estate in Los Angeles.
